A plant operator can control the entire plant plus the raw water pumps. A backup computer is kept in a separate room. A graphic display shows all the plants pipes, pumps, filters and valves. The plant is monitored and controlled by DACS (Data Acquisition and control System). The operator can initiate changes to certain processes and the computer software determines the equipment sequencing to achieve the changes.
